Part 16 "Omin Mesa Saga the Telling"

Star doesn't want to stick around anymore now that Froster has died. He parts ways with Golu but Stinky stays behind, wanting to help with the fight for which Erty is preparing.

Erty makes it back to Mesa with Vega to meet up with Golu.

Golu moves his new team to North Mesa.

Golu, Cage, Blaster, Erty, Vega, Dorm, and Stinky train together where the Berik S used to live.

Sir George starts rebuilding his Systems and needs to rebuild his Royal Guard after losing Lumin and Botos.

Sir George continues his plans for making John the replacement for Lumin but first wants to test the new simulation room after the updates from studying Lumin.

Gaydian, now a prisoner for his suspected involvement in the attacks on the Systems, accepts a deal for his release. If he survives the new training then he is free to go.

Gaydian fights a creature in the simulation that emits no energy, makes almost no sound, has no sent, and can move at a speed that makes it invisible.

Every time Gaydian manages to defeat the creature known as the Wind Kyno, only just surviving, he is healed in a medical vat and the creature is reconstructed to be better, stronger, and faster.

After many days of being sent back in, Gaydian fails to be able to beat the creature with conventional means. He spends a few hours taking attacks that he is no longer able to predict or see.

Gaydian stops relying on his primary senses and meditates. He begins to picture connecting patterns in his mind.

Gaydian develops a skill that only destroys nonliving materials and one counter to it that only destroys living materials. He uses his skills, the Shatterstar and Imshatterstar, to find where the creature hides and force it to move so that it becomes vulnerable to attack.

Sir George lets Gaydian out to return to being a guard, satisfied that the creature is ready for John's training.

Gaydian instead takes the opportunity to escape Mesa and flee to Shang's planet, Son.

George ultimately decides not to send John in to fight the creature, thinking that it would break his mind.
