Jake awakens in a very dark place, unaware of his location and unable to sense the world around him.
In the darkness, another figure appears. They approach and reveal themselves to be the real Lumin.
Jake claims to know this Lumin as a murderer and a stealer of souls. Lumin explains that he has only ever done what was needed of him and makes the request to take full control of their current body.
Jake refuses to submit. Lumin further elaborates on their current situation, the state of souls, and why he is needed more than Jake is.
Jake continues to refuse and Lumin informs him of his right to fight for control as much as he wants. Jake accepts the challenge and fights Lumin.
Lumin defeats Jake, though Jake continues to struggle in their mind, holding Lumin back from fully awakening.
Drak returns to Mesa with his Titans, Plasma, Apray, Radar, Kayrof, Henexfiy, Rocky, Icans, Kogacas, and Zupto.
Lumin, now more in control, steps forth and commands John, Gorth, Botos, Mim, and Gaydian to fight.
They easily overpower the Mashen Titans. In their defeat, Lumin executes them all.
The others of the Royal Guard instantly recognize an odd change in behavior from Jake and start to fear him.
